We're pleased to be in a team working with Playce landscape architects on the SMO Community Hub Precinct on the Queen's Domain, for Hobart City Council.
Plans for the site include a nature based playscape, wood fired ovens and BBQ pavilions, public amenities, and an amphitheatre.
We're very happy to be working with the wonderful Rodney Dunn and Séverine Demanet of The Agrarian Kitchen to expand their paddock-to-plate cooking experiences into an eatery and retail outlet in the old dormitory Ward B (Bronte), Willow Court, in New Norfolk.
Design is well under way, and we're working on collaborative relationships with local designer makers to fit out the space with custom tables.
Ward B (Bronte) and the original Barracks have recently completed Federally funded renovations. We see a great potential in the Agrarian Kitchen's eatery activating the site, and already have plans for Ward C!
Here's a couple of detail shots of a 35mm thick, 4.0m x 0.6m Glass Fibre Reinforced Concrete kitchen benchtop made by Marcus Harvey for the house in Lower Longley. The benchtop was precast, sealed with Canuba wax, and delivered to site for installation. A slight patina has developed over the hard-wearing concrete with everyday use over 6 months.
